📋 Description

• Participate in effective Young Life ministry through training and direct field ministry experience. • Develop a yearly personal growth plan involving spiritual disciplines, prayer, reflection and understanding God’s Word. • Participate in a church community and the spiritual life of the Young Life community. • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development. • Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership. • Recruit and train new leaders and build a leadership team. • Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners and camping. • Attend and participate in area leadership activities as assigned. • Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices. • Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners. • Assist with camp fundraisers and attend occasional committee and adult functions. • Engage in all three levels of contact work. • Participate in leadership for Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry. • Help implement summer and school-season camping strategies. • Potentially serve on summer staff or assigned staff at a Young Life property. • Follow Young Life policies and procedures and maintain professionalism. • Set and review yearly ministry and personal goals. • Assist with office administration when assigned. • Complete expense reports clearly and promptly. • Perform other duties assigned in line with gifts, experience and area needs. • Complete assigned work under area director or mentor supervision. • Receive individualized training in spiritual maturity, character and ministry skills. • Become familiar with area strategy and ministry health. • Learn personal fundraising principles and participate in Young Life discipleship experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith. • Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord. • Must subscribe to Young Life statements and policies required of staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith. • Must be ready, willing and able to fulfill ministry functions as required. • Must refrain from conduct and statements that detract from Young Life’s biblical standards. • Must abide by all Young Life policies and practices, including those related to religious belief or ministry activities. • Pursuing a college degree. • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults. • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • Must be based in Stark County, Ohio.
