• Serve as a key point of contact for assigned distributors and key retailers • Support development of annual business plans and drive attainment of annual and zone business objectives under the Zone Manager • Implement approved business plans and tactics in the assigned territory • Communicate and execute programs at wholesale and retail levels to achieve sales, distribution, promotional, and merchandising objectives • Maintain regular call frequency with wholesalers, retailers, and retail field sales managers • Develop local market plans and provide direction and support to assigned distributors • Manage retail execution plans and initiate activities for assigned markets • Monitor product inventory levels and proper inventory rotation • Conduct trimester reviews covering distribution, sales volume, pricing, execution opportunities, competitive activity, retailer trends, and co-op spending • Develop programs for underperforming packages and help establish annual distribution targets • Develop wholesaler key-account target lists and submit distribution progress reports • Reinforce distribution, shelf-set, and merchandising standards • Manage local sampling plans and engage consumers and retailers at events and trade shows • Establish and monitor point-of-sale budgets and manage allocation of point-of-sale materials • Conduct sales presentations and planning meetings with distributor teams • Communicate with cross-functional teams including National/Chain Account Managers, Marketing, and Brewery Operations • Provide written recaps of meetings, retail days, progress tracking, budgets, and market opportunities • Troubleshoot draft beer systems when qualified • Manage the distributor bill-back process in accordance with DGY policies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or minimum of 5 years equivalent job experience • Must live in the Indianapolis, Indiana area • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively • Good listening skills and engaging group presentation capabilities • Ability to perform and understand basic trade math • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, maintain attention to detail, and manage time effectively • Ability to set goals and objectives • Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to management direction • Ability to take independent actions and calculated risks • Creativity and original thinking • Ability to embrace DGY culture and The Yuengling Way • Team player and highly self-motivated • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record • Ability to work traditional and non-traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays • Solid computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VIP, and mobile industry applications • Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds
