📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end recruiting across technical and non-technical functions, focusing on marketing, sales, engineering, AI/ML, infrastructure, product, and forward-deployed roles • Partner with executives, hiring managers, and technical leaders to define hiring priorities, calibrate talent profiles, and influence organizational design • Develop and execute sourcing and hiring strategies for difficult-to-fill roles in AI, defense technology, and government-adjacent environments • Maintain a high hiring bar through screening, interview calibration, structured evaluations, and partnership with interview teams • Build proactive candidate pipelines through outbound sourcing, networking, referrals, market research, and relationship-building • Improve and operationalize recruiting workflows, interview processes, candidate communication standards, and reporting infrastructure • Ensure professional, responsive, transparent, and respectful candidate interactions throughout the interview process • Shape Legion’s external employer brand through messaging, recruiting content, and communication of its mission and technical challenges • Partner with leadership on compensation strategy, equity conversations, and offer negotiations • Collaborate with engineering, product, security, operations, and executive leadership teams • Gather and communicate hiring trends, competitor activity, compensation benchmarks, and talent-market insights • Track pipeline health, conversion rates, time-to-fill, and hiring efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• US citizenship required due to US Government contract requirements • Experience recruiting technical AI software candidates with active clearance in the national military, defense, security, and intelligence community • Significant experience recruiting engineering, infrastructure, AI/ML, security, product, or other deeply technical roles • Demonstrated success closing difficult searches and delivering high-quality hires in fast-paced environments • Strong outbound sourcing and relationship-building capabilities • Experience partnering with senior engineers, founders, executives, and hiring managers on role definition and candidate evaluation • Excellent communication skills • Strong operational mindset and ability to improve processes and build structure • Ability to manage ambiguity in an early-stage environment • High degree of ownership, prioritization, urgency, and accountability • Experience closing senior candidates, including compensation discussions, competing offers, relocation considerations, and complex motivations • Ability to represent Legion’s mission, technology, and long-term vision compellingly • Preferred: experience recruiting within AI, defense, or national security sectors; startup experience; recruiting infrastructure and ATS implementation; technical fluency in engineering, cloud infrastructure, AI systems, developer tooling, or distributed systems; experience recruiting SECRET, TS/SCI, or other cleared talent; employer branding experience
