📋 Description

• Work hand in hand with Fiber Engineers • Manage external vendors for timely and budget-compliant completion • Conduct initial constructability reviews according to project specifications • Develop construction bid packages and competitively bid projects to subcontractors • Manage permit and construction plan development • Order and track delivery of third-party materials • Oversee site construction, schedules, and subcontractors • Coordinate construction activities with local and state agencies regarding permitting and licensing • Attend company and client status meetings • Communicate milestones, delivery status, and updates to leadership and project management/service delivery resources • Maintain accurate job records in the project tracking system • Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative at project sites • Ensure competitive construction rates and negotiate project costs • Hold vendors accountable for maintaining project budgets • Identify and communicate issues affecting project completion or cost • Resolve onsite issues and recommend solutions • Ensure work complies with construction standards, processes, and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum 2 year technical degree or equivalent work experience • Valid driver’s license required • One (1) to three (3) years construction experience • One (1) to three (3) years direct telecommunications experience • Three (3) years of supervisory contractor construction experience preferred • Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) preferred • Familiarity with Grounding and Bonding Tests, RF Sweep test, OTDR, Optical Power Meter and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing preferred • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards preferred • Preference for BSCE, or equivalent work experience • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word and PowerPoint) skills • PMP certification a plus • Excellent organizational/administrative skills • Strong project management skills with attention to details • Basic telecommunications experience/knowledge • Ability to travel to project sites 50% up to 90% of the time • Ability to participate in on-call rotation
