📋 Description

• Supervise a team of Fiber Construction Managers for construction demands, CapEx and OpEx management, and KPIs • Support the Manager of Fiber Construction in communicating with NOC, Engineering, Field Operations, Permitting, and Change Management teams • Monitor and report KPIs and assess opportunities to improve process efficiency and performance • Maintain knowledge of technology and its impact on operational business processes • Support assigned-area CAPEX and OPEX spending and budgets • Enforce organizational standards to maintain quality service • Develop and coach the fiber construction manager team, identify training gaps, and create career paths • Schedule and prioritize fiber construction and external vendor resources • Partner with utility and municipal providers to streamline permits and related initiatives • Manage external vendors for timely, budget-compliant completion • Conduct initial construction reviews according to project specifications • Oversee site construction schedules and resources • Ensure accurate maintenance of jobs in the project tracking system • Coordinate engineering, permitting, and licensing activities • Develop permit and construction plans • Participate in vendor evaluation and selection • Ensure work complies with Zayo construction standards, processes, and procedures • Contribute to continued growth and improvement of construction operations

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, required • 3 years of experience or equivalent work experience with direct supervision/management of employees and fiber engineering design, splicing, and/or construction implementation • Valid driver’s license, required • Experience with optical test equipment including OTDR, PMD, and Optical Spectrum Analyzer • Working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction standards • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Proven people and project management skills • Strong background in fiber optic infrastructure engineering, construction, and restoration methods • Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) installation standards and practices • Ability to diagnose workflow problems and institute remedies • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while handling multiple priorities • Commitment to safety, integrity, and continual professional development • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States • Position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization, including OPT, TN, H1B, or other work visas • B.S. in Architecture, Engineering, or a Construction-related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
