📋 Description

• Provide financial accounting in accordance with Company guidelines, client needs, and legislative requirements • Complete month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and revenue summaries • Distribute monthly financial statements and research and resolve income statement discrepancies • Respond to branch inquiries and requests • Audit financial statements for review by outside auditors • Assist with development, implementation, and monitoring of internal accounting systems, policies, and procedures • Perform accrual accounting functions, including preparing and analyzing journal entries and financial statements • Prepare financial statements, auditor schedules, and management reports • Serve as the initial point of contact for account reconciliation and financial reporting inquiries, problems, and exceptions • Review and monitor assigned accounts to ensure appropriate funding and direct cash transfers as needed • File Forms 941 and 945 and ensure timely 990 and 5500 filings • Perform other duties as assigned • Work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and using a computer

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting • One year of experience in an accounting role • Thorough understanding of common accounting principles and practices • Working knowledge of accounting software • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization • Proficient computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel • Preferred: Experience working in a third-party administrator, insurance, or health and welfare environment • Preferred: Prior experience in Taft-Hartley trust administration • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
