📋 Description

• Handle all phases of pre-litigation and litigation activity on insurance defense matters • Conduct fact and expert investigation and analysis • Manage pleading practice, formal discovery, motion practice, expert discovery, mediation, settlement practice, trial preparation, and trial • Advise the Company on legal issues and legal strategy for litigated and non-litigated insurance defense matters • Meet client, claims, internal communication, and strategic litigation management expectations • Utilize technology and collaborate with support staff for efficient case management and productivity • Monitor changes to law, technology, local rules, procedural requirements, and the legal and insurance industries • Provide case valuation opinions and promptly communicate valuation changes to clients and claims teams • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school • Member in good standing of the State Bar of California • 6+ years litigating insurance defense matters in either the in-house or external law firm setting, or equivalent combination of training/experience • Proven written and verbal communication skills • Strong quantitative, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
