📋 Description

• Manage an active pipeline of delinquent accounts requiring loss mitigation evaluation, follow-up, and resolution • Review borrower financial information, hardship circumstances, and supporting documentation to evaluate eligibility for loss mitigation solutions • Evaluate and recommend repayment plans, payment deferrals, loan modifications, voluntary surrenders, and other retention or liquidation solutions • Communicate with borrowers about options, documentation, decisions, expectations, and next steps • Follow up consistently to move files toward timely resolution • Escalate complex borrower situations and exceptions to leadership, Compliance, Legal, or servicing resources • Serve as subject matter expert for the Loss Mitigation program and borrower assistance processes • Build and formalize a scalable Loss Mitigation operating model • Develop, document, implement, and improve procedures, workflows, decision trees, documentation standards, and escalation paths • Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, manual processes, and risks and recommend solutions • Establish processes for intake, financial review, eligibility determination, approval, documentation, execution, monitoring, and completion • Partner with leadership to define roles, responsibilities, service-level expectations, and handoffs • Develop and maintain reporting on pipeline activity, aging, approvals, denials, resolutions, borrower outcomes, and trends • Monitor portfolio and pipeline performance to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities • Assist with KPIs and performance expectations • Perform account and data analysis for operational decisions and program enhancements • Establish quality assurance and control processes • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in servicing systems • Partner with Compliance and Legal on regulatory, investor, bankruptcy, and internal requirements • Collaborate with Collections, Customer Service, Bankruptcy, Legal, Underwriting, and servicing teams • Develop training materials, job aids, procedures, and internal resources • Support onboarding and development of future Loss Mitigation team members

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of three years of mortgage servicing experience • Three to five years of direct Loss Mitigation experience, including borrower hardship evaluation and recommendation or administration of workout solutions • Three to five years of collections experience, preferably in mortgage servicing, manufactured housing finance, or consumer lending • Understanding of hardship letters, income documentation, bank statements, pay stubs, and financial statements • Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing, default servicing, delinquency management, bankruptcy processes, and loss mitigation workflows • Ability to manage an active pipeline while balancing priorities, deadlines, borrower needs, and operational requirements • Experience developing, improving, or documenting operational processes and procedures • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and large datasets • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for sensitive and complex borrower conversations • Exceptional attention to detail and accurate documentation • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and own initiatives through implementation • Manufactured housing and/or chattel loan servicing experience strongly preferred • Five or more years in manufactured housing, chattel lending, mortgage default servicing, or related servicing environment preferred • Experience with FICS or comparable loan servicing platform preferred • Experience interpreting investor-specific loss mitigation and servicing requirements preferred • Familiarity with CFPB servicing requirements and consumer financial regulations preferred • Experience establishing or enhancing Loss Mitigation, Default Servicing, or borrower assistance functions preferred • Experience with operational reporting, dashboards, quality controls, or workflow improvements preferred • Experience with system implementations, process automation, or servicing technology enhancements preferred • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus • Must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states listed in the posting • Employment eligibility will be confirmed through E-Verify
