📋 Description

• Own tooling and services powering CI/CD pipelines, including the GitOps deployment API/CLI, self-service deployment capabilities, shared TypeScript package ecosystem, and ingress layer • Lead stabilization, strategic evolution, knowledge capture, and risk reduction for mission-critical systems • Lead technical direction, golden paths, standards, and the multi-quarter roadmap across delivery tooling and the Go automation and intelligence platform • Make build-vs-buy, consolidation, and sunset decisions • Design and build high-leverage, high-risk components in Go and TypeScript/Node • Shape the use of Agentic AI, MCP, and Temporal durable workflows to automate infrastructure creation, upgrading, and auditing • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and influence CI/CD, embedded DevOps, and shared monorepo partner teams

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, or equivalent impact and technical leadership • Track record of architecting and operating tooling, services, or platforms that many other teams depend on • Experience with API/contract design, versioning and backward compatibility, blast-radius management, and keeping high-traffic systems evolvable • Strong experience in Delivery/GitOps tooling with ArgoCD, ideally ApplicationSets, Helm, and deployment tooling, or backend platform and API engineering at scale • Proficiency in Go or TypeScript/JavaScript, with strong working ability in the other • Experience with TypeScript/Node, NestJS, and Nx monorepo • Experience with Kubernetes, serverless runtimes such as GCP Cloud Run or equivalent, GCP, and AWS • Track record of leading a high-stakes inheritance or migration, setting direction across a team, mentoring senior engineers, and driving alignment across organizational boundaries • Practical experience or strong theoretical depth in Agentic AI, MCP, and A2A frameworks • Preferred: Experience with Temporal or similar durable execution, Terraform at scale, multi-runtime delivery, shared monorepos/platforms, open-source infrastructure/CD/developer tooling, Helm, Argo, or Istio
