📋 Description

• Support major U.S. customers as ZTR’s on-site technical representative • Configure and support ZTR control systems using advanced PLC knowledge • Perform on-site commissioning and investigative troubleshooting of ZTR equipment • Provide technical training to customers on-site • Collaborate with and support the sales team as required • Participate in project coordination and project management activities as needed • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 15%–30% • Provide after-hours on-call support for local emergency troubleshooting • Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders • Report directly to the Technical Service Manager in London, Ontario, Canada

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3-year diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology, or Professional Engineer, or valid electrician license • Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems and locomotive electrical systems • Advanced PLC programming and configuration skills • Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus • Basic to intermediate understanding of Ethernet networking, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi • Proficiency with standard computer applications, such as Microsoft Office • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently • Strong judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills • Hands-on technical experience required • Locomotive and/or freight railway experience preferred • Ability to travel up to 30% to customer sites domestically and internationally • Ability to live in close proximity to Little Rock, Arkansas, or East St. Louis, Illinois • Ability to work after-hours on-call support for local emergency troubleshooting
