📋 Description

• Complete field inspections, including reading maps and aerial photos and measuring fields and storage bins • Discuss findings of crop loss with farmers on complex, non-routine, problematic, and controversial claims • Convey complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people • Perform fact-finding regarding crop damage • Record and transmit loss information to determine potential indemnities • Gather relevant facts, apply applicable law, and establish basic principles of negligence • Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned • Maintain knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance • Participate in team projects and related activities • Participate on CAT teams and provide remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date • Personal transportation • Travel within assigned territory and outside the assigned area as needed • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions • Experience with crop hail preferred • Experience as a Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) Adjuster preferred • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills preferred • Strong organization and prioritization skills preferred • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred • Employment sponsorship is not offered
