📋 Description

• Develop and maintain reliable, secure, performant and efficient web/desktop applications and high-throughput services • Partner with product managers, product owners, software architects and other stakeholders to turn high-level requirements into incremental product enhancements • Contribute as an integral member of the scrum team to the codebase and overall team success • Contribute to software design and architecture using software design patterns throughout the development lifecycle • Improve processes and deliverables to increase team effectiveness and efficiency • Research and prototype innovative ideas, technologies and patterns • Document and present ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly • Utilize LLMs and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot and Cursor to improve productivity, efficiency and code quality • Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems • Own the full product lifecycle from coding and evolution through deployment, monitoring and production support

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with application and cloud services development • Experience building software projects with Typescript, C# and/or Python • Solid understanding of web or desktop application architecture, including data, application and web tiers and how those components behave in production • Experience with building secure APIs, Microservices and Desktop applications • Experience with Relational database technologies, e.g. Postgres, including schema design, query performance and operational considerations • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response practices • Demonstrated ability with using AI-assisted tools and techniques as a productivity multiplier for software development, debugging, testing and operational problem-solving • Hands-on experience with unit and automated testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, etc • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to converse with multiple audiences, not limited to SW Developers, Managers, etc • Self-directed and a strong sense of ownership with the ability to work independently while balancing multiple priorities • Preferred: Experience with AWS services and technologies (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS) • Preferred: Experience building or working with CAD applications such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, or other CAD + AEC design software • Preferred: Experience applying AI or automation to improve testing, operational efficiency and developer productivity • Preferred: Exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
