• Promote and sell insurance products and solutions through inbound and outbound channels • Uncover insurance needs and provide tailored solutions using a consultative, client-first approach • Drive sales growth, meet individual targets, and deliver the desired client experience • Maximize premium growth through cross-selling, referrals, and client retention • Follow authorized scripts, processes, and procedures • Manage complex cases and high-end sales • Provide superior client experience and service • Develop solutions and recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs • Provide advice and guidance on solution implementation • Apply for and/or maintain relevant licenses and satisfy continuing education and Errors & Omissions Insurance requirements • Support strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders • Build stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment • Analyze strategic problems, data, and information to provide insights and recommendations • Answer technical life insurance questions for licensed agents • Develop program scripting, objection handling, and training • Ensure legal and compliance requirements related to sales are met • Design and develop tools and training programs, including delivery of training • Support achievement of the business plan and desired client experience • Complete administrative functions such as sales reports and follow-up on pending business • Work mostly independently and exercise judgment to diagnose and solve problems • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with policies, laws, and regulations
• Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Must meet licensing and certification requirements for the team, branch, and jurisdiction • For Life Insurance products: Life License Qualification Program (LLQP), RIBO, or Level 2 license in Ontario/Quebec equivalent • For Other Than Life (OTL) Insurance products: Valid OTL insurance license in Ontario and/or Quebec, with an expectation to work toward the A&S/LLQP license within 3 months of employment • Experience in a call center environment preferred • Working knowledge of life insurance products, applications, law, compliance, and regulations • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience • In-depth verbal and written communication skills • In-depth collaboration and team skills • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills • In-depth influence skills
