It partners with producers, regulators and service providers to design and implement recycling programs, run supply chain procurement and contracts, provide regulatory reporting and analytics, support producer onboarding and fee-setting, operate IT platforms and financial services, and deliver promotion and education to advance the circular economy and increase material recovery across provinces.
• Manage commodity marketing agreements and direct contracts with secondary processors and end-markets • Track material flow from preconditioning facilities to end-markets and resolve issues • Monitor material composition and quality with operations and audit teams • Calculate and validate facility yields and recovery performance • Ensure accurate service-provider reporting and reconcile volumes, revenues, and performance metrics • Liaise among post-collection operations, marketing agents, finance, audit, and reporting teams • Address processing, logistics, and material-quality challenges affecting marketability and revenue • Develop monthly and quarterly reports on commodity market performance, partner performance, revenue per ton, yield trends, risks, and opportunities • Assess and support new domestic and export end-market development • Support contract implementation, change orders, and optimization of processing and marketing arrangements • Identify and resolve operational, contractual, and market-related issues affecting system performance
• Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, environmental management, or related fields is preferred • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered • 5+ years of experience in commodity marketing, recycling markets, or materials trading • Direct exposure to plastics, fiber, or metals markets • Experience managing commercial contracts with processors, brokers, or end-markets • Experience tracking material flows, yields, and revenue performance in recycling or commodity supply chains • Strong understanding of recycling commodity markets, pricing mechanisms, and end-market requirements • Experience with data analysis, yield calculations, and performance reporting • Ability to manage operational issues across multiple stakeholders • Experience collaborating with operations, finance, audit, and reporting teams • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools • Valid driver’s license and comprehensive vehicle insurance required • Strong understanding of AI concepts and ability to communicate and apply AI technologies effectively preferred • Experience with reporting systems and dashboards is an asset
