📋 Description

• Build and maintain a single source of truth for status, dependencies, risks, and resourcing across data platform, integrations, IT security, and compliance workstreams • Run portfolio-level planning and sequence work across projects • Surface conflicts, slippage, resourcing conflicts, and scope creep early, with options attached • Own delivery of SOC 2 readiness, including evidence collection, control implementation, access reviews, vendor risk assessments, policy work, and audit milestones • Drive execution of the IT Security Plan as sequenced, owned, and tracked work • Flag scope-of-access questions and support least-privilege processes • Adapt and run right-sized agile processes for a small senior technical team • Own planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog hygiene, and delivery cadence • Manage intake and triage mid-sprint requests to protect team focus • Architect the technical portfolio in Asana using templates, custom fields, dependencies, and portfolio views • Convert ad hoc requests into scoped, sequenced backlog items with effort, dependencies, and tradeoffs • Prepare prioritization decisions for VP and leadership by framing options and quantifying cost of delay • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable engineering requirements and specifications • Align internal stakeholders and external vendors, contractors, and client-side technical contacts on scope, timelines, and dependencies • Drive vendor- and contractor-delivered workstreams to completion • Diagnose root causes of missed deadlines and improve the underlying delivery system • Provide portfolio visibility so leadership can monitor status without additional meetings • Ensure security and compliance milestones land on schedule

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of program or project management for technical teams in data, software, platform, or IT/security work, with real delivery accountability • Exposure to security or compliance work, including audits, access reviews, or policy rollouts • Experience building delivery systems from scratch, including workflows, tooling, and operating habits • Working fluency in agile practices • Technical literacy sufficient to work credibly with engineers, including understanding data pipelines, schema-change risks, API-access blockers, and access-scope implications • Strong Asana skills at the architecture level • Ability to influence without authority across employees and vendors • Exceptional written communication for status reporting, requirements, and decision framing • Experience driving security or compliance programs such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a nice to have • Experience with Vanta, Drata, or external audit/compliance partners is a nice to have • Exposure to GCP, BigQuery, or modern data engineering workflows is a nice to have • Agency or multi-client experience is a nice to have • Product management exposure, including PRDs, discovery, and acceptance criteria, is a nice to have • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CISA, or Security+ certifications are useful but not required • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada • Standard business hours are 9am–5pm ET
