• Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist is a trusted HR business partner responsible for delivering a broad range of operational and strategic human resources services to the Silvertip operation • Working in a remote rotational mining environment, the HR Generalist partners with site leaders and employees across all areas of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, compensation, employee engagement and HR compliance • Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders on employee relations, performance management, attendance management, disability management, accommodation, and HR policies and programs • Develop workplace practices that position Coeur as an employer of choice • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices • Administer and facilitate the employee onboarding process, ensuring a positive and engaging new hire experience from offer acceptance through integration into the business • Ensure policies, procedures and programs are effectively communicated and consistently applied across the operation • Educate leaders and employees on Human Resources policies, procedures, legislation and company standards • Administer employee benefit programs and act as a liaison with benefit providers to support employee inquiries and program administration • Coordinate and analyze exit interviews, identifying trends and recommending opportunities for improvement • Provide guidance and resolution on employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance issues, complaints and policy interpretation • Conduct or support workplace investigations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actions • Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance management, policy interpretation and leadership best practices • Support disability management, accommodation and return-to-work programs • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities for hourly, salaried, professional and technical positions, including candidate screening, interviews, pre-employment requirements, medicals, travel coordination and onboarding • Develop and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements • Participate in career fairs, community engagement initiatives and recruitment activities to strengthen the Company's employment brand • Support workforce planning initiatives aligned with operational requirements and future operational readiness • Assist with organizational design activities, including position descriptions, organizational structures and workforce planning • Maintain current job descriptions and organizational charts • Develop and recommend improvements to HR procedures and processes that enhance operational effectiveness and employee experience • Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness and leadership development initiatives • Plan and coordinate HR-related meetings, training sessions and employee events as required • Support implementation of HR programs and initiatives associated with the transition from care and maintenance through operational readiness and future operations • Participate in cross-functional operational readiness initiatives, including workforce mobilization, HR process development and organizational planning • Foster a workplace culture aligned with Coeur's Values, safety culture and commitment to continuous improvement • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in the handling of employee information • Complete other duties, special projects and assignments as required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline • CPHR designation or working toward designation is considered an asset • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity, preferably within mining, construction, heavy industry or other industrial environments • Demonstrated experience supporting leaders across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational development and employee engagement • Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations and providing guidance on employee relations matters • Sound knowledge of employment legislation, human rights legislation and HR best practices, with experience applying them in a business environment • Experience supporting organizational change, workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives is considered an asset • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS is considered an asset • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with leaders and employees at all levels • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team • Valid driver's license and ability to travel and work on a rotational schedule at a remote mining camp
