• Lead ElevenLabs engagement with Canadian government bodies and officials on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights • Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups • Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations affecting the company • Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events • Support internal policy development with Legal, Safety, Security, and other teams • Advise company leadership on regional policy trends and business implications • Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services with the GTM team • Define and implement policy campaigns and impact initiatives
• Genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies • Up-to-date knowledge of AI regulation and industry trends • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and work cross-functionally • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity • Proactive, solution-oriented approach • 8+ years' experience in public and private sector policy roles, in-house or firm, focused on AI and technology • Strong knowledge of Canada's regional AI policy landscape, including AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights • Demonstrated success designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes, and building coalitions • Public policy experience across Canada • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government officials and policymakers • Fluency in English and French
