📋 Description

• Own the development, testing, and production support of the Dynamic Copay Engine services • Design and implement pricing logic, rules engines, and configuration systems that power upfront member pricing • Build and maintain integrations with claims adjudication workflows • Write performant queries and manage data across PostgreSQL, Redis, and BigQuery • Collaborate with product and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable backend services • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident response • Contribute to the on-call rotation for production systems • Meet quarterly as a company

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years building, owning, and maintaining backend services • 2+ years writing Go • Strong SQL skills, particularly in PostgreSQL • Experience with Redis and BigQuery (or similar analytical databases) • Docker/Kubernetes • Google Cloud Platform • gRPC/Protobuf experience • Experience with thorough testing strategies • Health insurance or claims processing experience • Terraform/Terraform Cloud • Python proficiency • Incident management and response experience • Startup experience • Self-directed and comfortable owning a domain end-to-end • Mission-driven — motivated by making healthcare simpler and more transparent • Willing to ask questions and admit what you don't know • Comfortable working in a fast-moving codebase where requirements evolve quickly
