📋 Description

• Represent HCI as a community ambassador in Calgary, increasing organizational visibility and engaging new donors with the mission. • Cultivate and sustain relationships with major donors, community leaders, and partners. • Use social media to amplify HCI’s messaging, campaigns, and events within the Calgary community. • Maintain a coordinated calendar of outreach initiatives, including community events, workshops, and speaking engagements. • Identify and engage high-net-worth individuals, working with national leadership to align donor interests with key projects. • Build partnerships with local schools, colleges, universities, NGOs, and community organizations. • Develop and execute targeted fundraising strategies and innovative campaigns across direct mail, online giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, and major gifts. • Establish and track fundraising goals and provide updates and impact reports to leadership. • Analyze donor data to identify giving trends and optimize fundraising efforts. • Plan and execute community events in Calgary and coordinate volunteers and stakeholders. • Collect feedback and assess event outcomes to inform future planning. • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for outreach and fundraising campaigns. • Develop youth-focused initiatives and opportunities for youth participation. • Identify local grant opportunities and funding sources. • Prepare grant proposals and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting standards. • Establish relationships with local foundations and grantmakers. • Track and manage donor information and financial contributions using HCI systems. • Ensure documentation meets HCI’s compliance standards and regulatory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Post Secondary qualification in events planning, fundraising, project management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience is acceptable. • Experience in fundraising, sales, or event planning, ideally within a non-profit organization. • Proven track record in community activism and volunteering. • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach. • Strong prioritization and time management abilities. • Team player with the capacity to work independently. • Commitment to HCI’s values and mission. • Fluency in English; proficiency in French or another language is a plus. • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential. • Some travel, as well as evening and weekend work, will be required.
