📋 Description

• Own the design, development, and delivery of complex features and technical initiatives across business management applications • Design and implement backend services, APIs, data models, and user-facing functionality focused on reliability, performance, and maintainability • Work with complex relational data models, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and efficient database operations • Understand business requirements, investigate technical challenges, and implement effective solutions across existing systems and technologies • Own feature reliability in production, lead incident fixes, improve monitoring, and improve systems • Set code-quality standards through code reviews, automated testing, and sound engineering practices • Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to shape requirements, evaluate technical approaches, and deliver solutions • Mentor intermediate developers, share technical knowledge, and contribute to hiring and onboarding

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience building and operating production systems businesses depend on • Strong computer science fundamentals based on a degree in computer science or distinctive work experience in software development • Strong data modelling and relational database skills, ideally including multi-tenant systems • Experience designing and building backend services and APIs • Enough front-end experience to own a feature in the UI • Track record of safely shipping changes to live systems, including feature flags, incremental rollouts, and reversible data migrations • Ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support • Leadership mindset with initiative, decision-making, and consistent delivery • Strong communication skills, including with non-engineers • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment • Preferred, not required: Python and Django; Next.js or React; ERP, accounting, or business management software; Windows desktop applications using C++ or comparable technologies
