📋 Description

• Lead project work from a design perspective with autonomy and authority • Facilitate design reviews and working sessions • Turn ambiguous concepts into useful and delightful product features • Design solutions supporting automated business operations with AI • Use AI to synthesize complex data into insights • Use agentic workflows to rapidly create working prototypes • Shape prompts and instructions used to develop production experiences • Design holistic systems, flows, interfaces, and micro-interactions across internal underwriting and operations tooling and merchant-facing experiences • Draw insights from research and data and translate them into tangible solutions • Learn and represent the needs of advance underwriters, service teams, and merchants • Collaborate with product, engineering, risk, and operations teams • Work in a cross-functional product and engineering trio • Create design artifacts supporting multifunctional alignment sessions • Define a product vision through iterative design and delivery for Lightspeed Capital advances, from merchant application through underwriting, issuance, and repayment

🎯 Requirements

• At least 7 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience • Experience designing and supporting development for 0-to-1 products is ideally preferred • Excellent communication skills • Experience designing complex, workflow-heavy products, internal tools, admin consoles, case management, or operational systems • Comfort working in financial services, lending, risk, payments, or another domain shaped by policy and compliance • Demonstrable experience using AI in design practice, including agentic workflows for research synthesis, prototyping, or production contributions • Deep commitment to design quality, accessibility, and performance • Experience with UX, UI design, and design systems • Familiarity with agile product development processes • Deep domain knowledge or business acumen in lending operations, customer onboarding, or credit product underwriting is ideally preferred • Must be based in the Eastern Time Zone and located on the East Coast of Canada
