• Manage territory market share, book of business, and growth goals for Antech veterinary diagnostics offerings • Promote, sell, and support Reference Lab services, In-house Diagnostics, Telemedicine offerings, and Imaging systems • Create and implement territory coverage plans and quarterly sales plans • Conduct 85%+ in-person sales calls with animal hospitals, veterinarians, and staff • Increase revenue through new account acquisition, existing account upgrades, and account development • Advance sales through closure of business contracts while following sales operations approvals • Provide product education, training, consultation, support, and service at staff in-services and veterinarian seminars • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services • Manage territory expenses, contracts, renewals, and new business opportunities • Build and maintain referral-source relationships • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success Representatives, Equipment Specialists, Regional Managers, and cross-functional teams • Share competitive market insights with regional and senior leadership • Research customers before site visits to tailor messaging and anticipate issues • Maintain accurate Salesforce CRM and other system records • Identify, target, negotiate, and acquire new business opportunities • Coordinate customer and daily support activities and meetings • Conduct quarterly business reviews for current clients • Complete timely daily forecasting and CRM updates • Maintain competitive knowledge in diagnostics and animal healthcare • Safeguard company assets and comply with Mars and Antech policies
• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Biological Sciences, Lab Sciences, or Business-related field preferred • 3+ years of successful field sales experience • Veterinary Diagnostics experience preferred • Demonstrable high sales performance with prospecting, pre-call planning, and deal-closing track record • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills • Team-oriented approach • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CMS, such as Salesforce • Ability to quickly learn new sales-support technologies • Strong sales and closing skills • Ability to build strong client relationships and loyalty • Ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments • Ability to close new business within short sales cycles • Ability to execute sales strategies in complex, fast-paced environments • Ability to train peers on sales processes, collateral, systems, and assets • Ability to use data to identify regional high-priority opportunities • Strong logic, reasoning, computer, and analytical skills • Ability to prioritize and execute recurring and ad hoc tasks • Ability to work under time constraints and changing priorities • Effective communication in person, by phone, and via video conferencing • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Must be insurable and maintain a valid driver’s license • Willingness to travel by vehicle up to 85% within the assigned territory, including overnight travel • Ability to drive up to 4 hours consecutively; overnight travel required
