📋 Description

• Work with engineering teams to identify how to test proposed changes • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test pipelines, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests • Create and maintain test plans and test cases for compute services, covering relevant scenarios and edge cases • Write and maintain scripts to automate deployments, migrations, and rollbacks • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff • Promote best practices and ensure quality standards are met • Develop automation for testing cloud microservices

🎯 Requirements

• 12 years of relevant experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent • Proficiency with Python and Pytest • Good understanding of modern testing methodologies • Working knowledge of Perl and Golang • Experience debugging across environments and reproducing failing tests locally on x86 versus ARM, native or emulated • Knowledge of Debian packaging • Knowledge of QEMU's TCG versus KVM acceleration • Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure • Understanding of system internals and performance • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack • Good Linux fundamentals, especially performance tuning • Experience with Bash and scripting fundamentals • Understanding of modern software development life cycle processes • Understanding of service-level objective monitoring and alerting
