⢠Ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and local employment legislation, human rights requirements, workplace health and safety regulations, and company policies ⢠Maintain knowledge of applicable leave, accommodation, accessibility, and human rights legislation, including employment standards, protected leaves, disability management, and duty-to-accommodate requirements ⢠Investigate employee concerns and support employee relations matters, including documentation, policy interpretation, resolution recommendations, corrective action, policy enforcement, and offboarding activities ⢠Support locations with their union workforce, understand CBAs, and support the Corporate Labour Relations Team ⢠Explain employee benefit programs, respond to employee inquiries, and assist in resolving benefits-related concerns ⢠Support employee development initiatives and performance improvement processes ⢠Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new locations with the Corporate Transition team ⢠Provide guidance and interpretation of company policies and procedures to employees and business leaders ⢠Maintain employee records, monitor HR metrics, and generate reports using the HRIS system while ensuring privacy compliance ⢠Liaise between Corporate People Operations and venue leadership by answering questions, communicating updates, and sharing feedback ⢠Support People Operations Transition Leads and hiring managers throughout recruitment and selection ⢠Partner with Corporate People Operations on strategic HR initiatives and programs ⢠Assist with special HR projects directed by the Vice President, Human Resources ⢠Provide general administrative support to the OVG People Operations team ⢠Perform other duties as assigned
⢠Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred) ⢠Minimum of four (4) years of progressive Human Resources experience ⢠Professional HR designation such as CHRP, CHRL, CHRE, CPHR, or equivalent is considered an asset ⢠Ability to travel up to 25%, sometimes with little warning ⢠Strong understanding of Canadian employment standards, human rights legislation, workplace accommodation requirements, privacy regulations, and labour laws ⢠Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS); ADP and ICIMS preferred ⢠Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook ⢠Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively ⢠Working knowledge of HR best practices and industry-specific HR trends and practices ⢠Experience supporting employees across multiple Canadian provinces and interpreting provincial employment standards and labour legislation ⢠Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and employee coaching skills ⢠Strong judgment and decision-making abilities with a solid understanding of employee and business needs ⢠Comfortable working in ambiguity and navigating complex employee situations ⢠Ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving work environment ⢠Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ⢠Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently ⢠Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism ⢠Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the ability to learn new technologies quickly ⢠Strong verbal and written communication skills
