• Perform installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs of laboratory equipment • Provide troubleshooting, repair, qualification, and warranty services within prescribed time frames and maintenance protocols • Engage customers to understand analytical workflows and tailor training, support, and upgrade offerings • Identify revenue opportunities including billable work, consumables, and service leads • Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, and service-parts inventory • Report product-improvement opportunities through the quality-notification process • Participate in company-sponsored training and higher-level certification • Complete administrative tasks such as time reporting and assigned training • Maintain health, safety, security, environmental, and operational compliance • Serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters • Support and collaborate with the sales team on local sales, contract sales, and related initiatives • Travel to customer sites across the assigned territory and occasionally to eastern regions and the United States for training
• Bachelor degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline plus 3 years of direct laboratory-equipment repair experience; OR associate degree plus 5 years; OR high school diploma plus 7+ years • Minimum 2+ years of laboratory and/or field service experience • Advanced knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environments, and/or instrument-control software • MS Office skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word • Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal, customer-service, critical-thinking, and technical skills • Ability to follow technical directions and read technical bulletins, service manuals, and schematics • Ability to work under time constraints and maintain alertness and concentration • Ability to work safely around electrical, chemical, radiologic, biologic, and laboratory hazards using universal precautions • Ability to travel flexibly by air, vehicle, or other transportation, including occasional weekends and holidays • International travel is required, including travel to the United States for training; candidates must have legal authorization to travel to the U.S. • Valid driver’s license and safe motor-vehicle operation • Ability to work in laboratories and controlled environments while using personal protective equipment • Ability to remain stationary for more than 25% of the time and frequently bend, squat, stretch, and reach • Ability to occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds, with potential occasional lifting up to 50 pounds • Required close-range, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus • Ability to handle hazardous waste according to applicable regulations • May be required to complete medical clearance, respiratory-protection training, and fit testing • Preferred: vendor certification on relevant laboratory equipment • Preferred: experience with Microsoft 365 and other business software platforms • Preferred: experience handling advanced technical and interpersonal escalations • Preferred: ability to drive miscellaneous business projects through completion • Willingness to comply with customer alcohol and drug testing requirements when necessary • Experience or willingness to work with Inductively Coupled Plasma and Chromatography products
