📋 Description

• Serve as the primary customer resource for permit status, timelines, and requirements • Provide training, coaching, feedback, and direction to junior team members • Oversee team member work, conduct 1:1s, and support team development • Manage the end-to-end permit application lifecycle • Research requirements, prepare forms, gather documentation, and submit applications to relevant authorities • Produce detailed permit-progress reports and provide regular updates to customers and stakeholders • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices • Streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve operational efficiency • Ensure applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with jurisdictional standards • Proactively monitor permit statuses and engage authorities to expedite approvals

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in construction permitting, project management, or a similar role • Bilingual in English and French • Based in Ontario or willing to relocate to Ontario • Experience with residential or commercial permitting in Quebec, including direct work with municipalities • Strong understanding of permitting processes, regulations, compliance standards, and jurisdictional differences • Exceptional project management skills • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills • Ability to manage customer relationships and collaborate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) • Leadership experience preferred: 2+ years leading, managing, and mentoring teams • Background in customer success, customer experience, or sales • Critical-thinking and problem-solving ability • Legally authorized to work in Canada • Must answer whether employment visa sponsorship will be required
