📋 Description

• Generate and review invoices for new, recurring, and adjusted customer contracts • Upload invoices to customer portals according to customer formatting requirements • Process billing adjustments, credits, and cancellations with supporting documentation • Monitor billing schedules for timely, accurate invoicing • Serve as the primary contact for customer billing inquiries • Respond to internal and external questions about invoices, payment status, and account activity • Support customer cancellations by verifying balances and issuing credits • Communicate billing cycles, changes, and discrepancies • Use Maxio, Salesforce, and NetSuite for contract management, billing creation, and financial reporting • Maintain accurate billing records for audits and month-end close • Update billing documentation across systems • Identify process inefficiencies and support system and workflow improvements • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, AR, and Revenue teams • Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on payment application, disputes, and collections follow-up • Prepare billing summaries and exception reports • Analyze Excel data using PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation reports • Support ad hoc customer reporting requests • Participate in meetings and billing initiatives as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Billing, Accounting, or a related financial operations role, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based business • Strong attention to detail and ability to process large volumes of transactions with accuracy • Working knowledge of SaaS contracts, recurring revenue, and subscription billing models • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment • Experience with billing or ERP systems such as Maxio, Salesforce, or NetSuite preferred • Understanding basic accounting principles and billing best practices • Experience with customer portals, including invoice uploads and credential management • Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative SaaS environment • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
