• Promote Tandem Diabetes products and services within the assigned territory • Plan and achieve territory sales goals • Identify potential customers and establish business relationships • Provide account sales support and continuing education to patients, physicians and Clinical Educators on insulin pump therapy • Ensure the territory meets or exceeds company goals • Identify sales leads and assess prospecting criteria • Provide product and service information to healthcare professionals and persuade them to recommend Tandem products • Differentiate Tandem products and services for healthcare professionals • Educate prospects and customers regarding healthcare trends, web-based solutions, products, services and outcomes • Establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals • Lead strategic business planning, forecasting and territory objectives • Provide product and service information directly to consumers through health fairs, conventions and promotions • Attend corporate sales training, meetings, conventions and symposia • Maintain customer records in CRM software • Collaborate with Pump Therapy Sales Specialists on pre- and post-sales issues and inquiries • Maintain company property, equipment, records, selling aids and samples • Establish and maintain a territory call cycle • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports • Maintain expenses and submit expense reports • Track mileage in the Motus system and submit reimbursement requests • Complete required training before assuming job responsibilities • Perform work in compliance with company, privacy/PIPEDA, regulatory, legal and safety requirements • Travel within the Ottawa/Kingston territory and to Peterborough as needed
• BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience • 3+ years of related industry sales experience, preferably in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care • Ability to relate effectively with patients, referral sources and health care professionals • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols and requirements • Ability to assert ideas and persuade others through consolidating, evaluating and presenting relevant information • Ability to promote team cooperation and commitment to team success • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing market and campaign for business improvement • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet, with CRM software familiarity • Ability to travel at least 80% in the assigned territory and work from a remote home office • Valid driver’s license, required auto insurance and good driving record • Ability to travel to the United States for training and business meetings • Ability to travel independently by car or airplane in the field at least 80% of the time and work after hours when required • Authorization to work for any employer in Canada
