📋 Description

• Report directly to the Portfolio Controller and work as part of the broader Finance team • Perform monthly portfolio accounting tasks, including posting journal entries, distributing intercompany charges, processing invoices, booking cash entries, and maintaining general ledger accounts • Identify and implement AI-assisted automation opportunities within controllership and finance • Administer and support the Portfolio Finance application, including NetSuite • Serve as the key support contact for systems-related issues involving NetSuite, OneStream, Great Plains, BlackLine, and BPC • Perform and review account reconciliations and identify portfolio weaknesses • Assist with preparation and review of business-unit deliverables for quarter/year-end close, including note disclosures • Support financial integration of newly acquired businesses and implement consistent corporate reporting • Assist with Risk Control Matrix creation, review, and controls testing • Handle ad-hoc requests from the corporate finance team • Build relationships with entity finance leads and provide technical accounting guidance and policy clarification • Support finance leads and complete ad-hoc assignments

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years finance or corporate accounting experience; experience in a technology-based environment is an asset • Full cycle accounting and/or consolidation experience required • Self-driven initiative, able to instigate and manage change • Analytical and critical thinking skills • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results under a strict reporting schedule • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills; comfortable interacting with and motivating people at all levels • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applications under IFRS • Experience working with NetSuite software is an asset • Attention to detail with an emphasis on time management to effectively meet deadlines • A ‘can-do’ attitude taking ownership; prepared to be held accountable for actions, behaviors and targets
