📋 Description

• Lead Accounts Engineering, a team within the Clients & Accounts Platform • Manage roughly 8 full-stack developers • Hire, coach, performance manage, and promote senior individual contributors • Build a high-velocity, high-quality full-stack engineering team • Drive alignment on the team's architectural north star • Ensure projects align with the team's architectural direction • Partner with Product and Data Science to define the roadmap and resource projects • Make prioritization decisions when demand exceeds capacity • Review, critique, and contribute to technical planning • Drive projects through launch without surprises • Own operational excellence, including reliability, on-call health, SLAs, and day-to-day delivery quality • Advance AI-assisted engineering across planning, code review, incident response, and other workflows • Build new account types such as Business Accounts and RESPs • Define core account configurations and evolve the account domain model

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years managing high-performance software development teams through multiple successful product launches, including coaching and growing senior and staff ICs • Strong full-stack technical background • System design expertise • Front-end depth is a plus • Ability to contribute substantively in design reviews and identify gaps in project plans • "Ship it" mentality with a high bar for pace, iteration, and quality • Track record of building teams from the ground up, including hiring, performance managing, and promoting • Comfort operating under pressure and making strong prioritization decisions • Metrics-oriented approach • AI-first mindset and experience using AI as a core part of work • Strong communication skills, including negotiating priorities, setting stakeholder expectations, and managing upward and across • Experience in fintech or banking is nice to have • Experience managing both platform and product teams is nice to have • Hands-on experience with Rails, Kotlin, and/or React is nice to have • Deep experience across backend and frontend development is nice to have • Comfortable writing SQL is nice to have • Permanently reside in Canada or the United States and be legally eligible to work in Canada or the United States
