📋 Description

• Own and evolve platform systems for approval workflows, permissions, authentication, and notifications • Design and improve complex architectures with simplicity, scalability, and backward compatibility • Align multiple stakeholders and partner with business and cross-functional teams • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and coordinate concurrent efforts • Set the team's code quality standard • Advocate for and design team-level technology investment projects • Create AI-forward workflows to accelerate the team and establish AI usage standards • Develop teammates and foster continuous learning • Lead and participate in technical interviews • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production issues

🎯 Requirements

• Full-stack engineering experience building production web applications and APIs in Ruby on Rails • Architectural depth designing and improving complex architectures, optimizing for simplicity, and setting code quality standards • Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple teams, building stakeholder buy-in, and rescuing at-risk projects • Experience on a platform, infrastructure, or enablement team • Experience building systems consumed by other teams • Experience with approval workflows, role-based access control (RBAC), or identity/auth products such as Auth0, Okta, or session management is a bonus • Domain and competitive knowledge, using data to inform decisions and align work with business strategy and roadmap priorities • Experience with agentic AI tooling, orchestration frameworks, and AI-augmented workflows • Experience with technical documentation and planning • Excellent communication skills • Comfortable working in two-week cycles with Agile planning • Strong SQL skills; PostgreSQL experience is a plus • Customer-focused with attention to detail and commitment to quality • Currently authorized to work in Canada and unable to require employer sponsorship for employment visas or work permits
