📋 Description

• Develop and implement 350 Japan’s organizing strategy • Lead short- and long-term organizing efforts for campaigns, global moments, or key projects • Contribute to the development of an effective global climate movement strategy • Strengthen and expand the 350 Japan volunteer community • Mentor and support activist leaders • Design and deliver training programs for individuals, groups, and leaders • Ensure training aligns with 350 Japan’s campaign goals and cultural relevance • Identify, engage, and recruit new movement participants • Support discovery and development of emerging leaders • Engage the general public to raise awareness and recruit volunteers and activists • Build and maintain constructive relationships with existing groups and movements for collaborative climate-justice action • Provide timely progress and challenge updates to the line manager

🎯 Requirements

• Strong passion for addressing climate change and a basic understanding of the issue • Deep commitment to building a joyful, inclusive movement grounded in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion • Ability to develop sharp, actionable organizing strategies for short- and long-term campaigns and movement growth • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow as an organizer • Self-motivation and ability to work remotely, effectively, and sustainably without daily oversight • Kind, collaborative team player who values accountability • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Problem-solving mindset with ability to think critically and creatively • Comfortable using or willing to learn digital organizing tools, including CRM (ActionKit), Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, LINE, Canva, and Instagram • Native-level Japanese fluency • Business-level English proficiency • Legal authorization to work for any employer in the applicant's country of residence • 5+ years of organizing experience or 3+ years in climate-focused movement organizing (desired but not required)
