📋 Description

• Drive accounting close, reconciliation governance, and the financial control framework for the Atlas loan-sale portfolio • Ensure month-end close SLA compliance by Working Day 3 through Atlas accounting deliverables • Oversee interest accrual true-ups, cancellations, repurchases, late fees, impairment/provisions, claims, and settlement tie-outs • Establish internal control and documentation frameworks covering data freshness, ownership tagging, retroactive event treatment, and repeatable workpapers • Define and enforce single-source-of-truth methodologies for servicing fees, ongoing statements, and portfolio performance • Drive an automation roadmap for matching, rollforwards, exception routing, and approvals with Engineering, Data Platform, and FinSyst teams • Implement daily and weekly exception review cadences and escalation frameworks across Capital Markets Ops, Data, and Engineering • Eliminate recurring root-cause breaks affecting the general ledger • Coach and elevate Accounting Specialists on reconciliation craftsmanship, prioritization, and analytical rigor • Participate in interviews, a business case, and a deep-dive assessment during the hiring process

🎯 Requirements

• Proven expertise in technical accounting and credit/structured finance (MUST HAVE) • Deep understanding of IFRS, specifically IFRS 9, IFRS 9 derecognition, and loan sale mechanics • Strong track record in loan/receivable accounting, settlement mechanics, and portfolio separation under complex financing or servicing structures • Experience establishing documentation, threshold monitoring, approval workflows, and evidence retention controls • Experience driving root-cause analyses with clear ownership and fix target dates • Strong stakeholder management across Capital Markets, Engineering, FinSyst, and external institutional counterparties • Experience coaching Accounting Specialists on reconciliation, prioritization, and analytical rigor • Strong analytical rigor and data fluency • Advanced Excel modeling capabilities • Ability to review and dissect large, complex loan-level datasets • Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into functional technical requirements for Data and Engineering teams • Experience in fintech, banking, or regulated financial institution transitions (PREFERRED) • Experience with regulated banking environments or institutional loan sales (Forward Flow / ABS) (PREFERRED) • SQL literacy or experience using automated reconciliation engines and modern ERP setups such as NetSuite, SAP, or FinSyst internal engines (PREFERRED) • Conversational English level is requested in the application form
