📋 Description

• Lead the technology function by setting direction, making architecture decisions, and managing vendors and partners • Remain hands-on by building, troubleshooting, solving problems, and shipping alongside the lean technology team • Own the Blaze custom .NET/SQL CRM architecture, stability, enhancements, and long-term roadmap • Own performance, uptime, infrastructure, and security for 20+ WordPress sites across cloud servers • Lead AI and automation projects involving AI agents, data extraction, crawling, and workflow automation • Oversee the PostgreSQL-backed rates extraction and quoting platform • Establish and enforce technology standards across Node.js, PHP, Python, PostgreSQL, Cloudflare, Caddy, systemd, and related technologies • Manage, mentor, and grow the technology team and identify future hiring requirements • Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and ensure systems scale with company growth • Advise the CEO on platform initiatives, production issues, and technology investments

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or systems architecture, including at least 3 years in a leadership role • Strong hands-on full-stack or backend development capability in PHP, Python, Node.js, or equivalent • Proven experience managing Linux servers and cloud infrastructure such as DigitalOcean or Linode • Strong database expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server • Proven track record leading small, high-output engineering teams • Ability to operate strategically while remaining technically hands-on • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment • Comfortable working directly with the CEO; structured thinker, commercially minded, and clear communicator • Experience with AI/LLM integration, AI agents, automation, or data pipelines is a strong advantage • Experience with WordPress or headless CMS environments at scale is a strong advantage • .NET or Windows Server experience, particularly with the Blaze CRM environment, is a strong advantage • Experience with booking engines, travel technology, hospitality, or transaction-heavy platforms is a strong advantage • Experience taking technology products or platforms from development through production is a strong advantage
