📋 Description

• Evolve system architecture by assessing impacts on scale, maintainability, cost, and reliability • Design, develop, and evolve APIs, integrations, and components used by multiple products and teams • Identify optimization opportunities across applications, databases, and integrations • Participate in technical decisions regarding architecture, development standards, and technology evolution • Work with Cloud/SRE teams to improve availability, observability, security, and operations • Investigate and resolve complex production issues by identifying root causes and structural improvements • Contribute to the developer experience by reducing friction and increasing engineering productivity • Promote engineering best practices, code quality, automated testing, and sustainable development • Share knowledge, provide technical support to other engineers, and raise the team’s technical maturity

🎯 Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with Python and frameworks such as Django and/or FastAPI • Hands-on experience building and evolving APIs and production systems • Knowledge of system design and the evaluation of architectural solutions, including trade-offs • Experience with distributed systems, service integrations, scalability, and reliability • Experience analyzing performance, troubleshooting, and evolving critical systems • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and persistence • Experience with automated unit, integration, and/or end-to-end testing • Knowledge of architectural patterns, development principles, and engineering best practices • Experience with Git, version control, and code collaboration • Clear communication skills for discussing technical decisions and working with different departments • Collaborative mindset and the ability to influence decisions and contribute to the team’s growth • Nice to have: microservices architecture; Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies; Redis or similar technologies; Docker; CI/CD; AWS, GCP, or Azure; Kubernetes; Terraform or infrastructure as code; observability with logs, metrics, tracing, Datadog, Grafana, or similar tools; experience working on platform, architecture, or Developer Experience teams
