📋 Description

• Work with cross-functional partners including product managers, designers and marketing managers to design and deliver high-quality products across multiple channels that directly contribute to Airbnb’s revenue. • Lead efforts to architect and build technology for serving marketing content to guests and hosts across Airbnb’s stack—including our web frontends, GraphQL API gateway & business logic layer, and storage layer. • Make heavy use of our mature DevAI stack to explore, build and verify your work. • Think user first: you might optimize user experience page performance by improving our rendering layer, or how we fan out and fetch data in the backend. • Work with customers to identify usability issues and proactively fix them. • Build relationships with engineers in product orgs (e.g. Relevance, Stays, Experiences) and partner with them to support company-wide initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role. • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience. • Technical leadership: hands on experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy and mentoring engineers. • Demonstrated comfort in working in a fullstack environment—you might be a backend expert, but are happy building client components; or a client expert who is happy building efficient APIs. • Passionate about efficiency, availability, technical quality and system quality. • Passion to level-up those around you through curiosity and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. • Proven experience in defining product strategy and helping drive alignment with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders. • Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience driving initiatives that span across teams.
