📋 Description

• Own and continuously enhance the global analytical framework for store performance • Define financial and operational KPIs consistently across countries, store formats and maturity stages • Analyse large store portfolios to identify patterns, outliers and structural performance gaps • Separate controllable operational drivers from market, format, location and maturity effects • Assess performance potential at store, cluster, region and country level • Prioritise opportunities based on value, feasibility and expected business impact • Build driver trees and explain variances across sales, gross profit, labour productivity, operating costs, inventory losses and store contribution • Partner with country Finance and Operations teams to validate findings and convert analysis into improvement hypotheses and measurable follow-up actions • Develop global benchmarks, peer groups, store ramp-up curves, portfolio segmentation, trend and cohort analyses, and scenario-based business cases • Design management-ready performance narratives using Power BI, SAP and other relevant data sources • Provide concise, fact-based recommendations to senior stakeholders • Contribute to global performance steering standards and reporting solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, commercial analytics or performance management, ideally in grocery retail, multi-site retail or another operational network business • University degree in business administration, finance, economics, business analytics, data science or a comparable discipline • Strong track record of analysing large and heterogeneous datasets, identifying root causes and converting findings into commercially relevant recommendations • Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query and DAX • Strong Excel capabilities • Practical experience with SAP, SAP BW and/or S/4HANA is highly valuable • Sound understanding of store economics and key retail drivers such as sales density, gross margin, labour productivity, shrink, occupancy costs, store maturity and contribution profitability • Ability to distinguish correlation from causation, challenge data and assumptions constructively, and communicate limitations transparently • Confidence working with international stakeholders, balancing global comparability with local business realities, and influencing without direct authority • Excellent English skills • German is an advantage but not essential
