• Achieve annual revenue targets for assigned APA publishing products, markets and channels • Develop and implement Account Sales Strategy & Territory Development Strategy for both new and renewal accounts • Identify new customer acquisition opportunities and expand existing accounts • Maintain a sales pipeline for renewals and new deals • Manage relationships with institutional clients and library consortia • Engage decision-makers at academic, hospital, corporate, and government institutions • Conduct needs assessments and consultative sales discussions • Present solutions, proposals, and close sales deals • Work closely with marketing, product management, and sales operations teams • Drive growth through new client acquisition, gap analysis of existing customers, subscription renewals and retention
• Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or MLIS preferred) • 7+ years of sales experience in academic databases, e-journals or e-books, academic library markets • 3+ years working with channel partners or third-party sales vendors • Proven track record selling to institutional decision-makers • Computer Skills Required: MS Office Suite, CRM Systems, e.g. Salesforce
