📋 Description

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, deferrals, and reclassifications under US GAAP • Own assigned month-end close tasks against a defined close calendar and deliver on schedule • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition to marketplace and wholesale channels • Prepare supporting schedules and deliverables for external auditors • Reconcile inventory across 3PL warehouses, Amazon FBA, and in-transit inventory to the general ledger • Investigate inventory variances to root cause • Maintain landed cost calculations covering product cost, freight, duty, tariffs, and drayage • Support excess and slow-moving inventory reserves • Execute receipts, transfers, and other inventory transactions • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts • Perform flux and trend analysis on balance sheet and P&L accounts • Identify and clear unreconciled items, stale balances, and misclassifications; propose corrections • Use AI to automate recurring close tasks, including settlement files, 3PL reports, reconciliation preparation, and first-draft variance commentary • Define AI automation boundaries, review AI output before posting, and document evidence for audit files • Document processes, flag control gaps and single points of failure, and collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to improve upstream data quality

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, including a full-cycle month-end close you owned rather than assisted on • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Working knowledge of US GAAP, including inventory and revenue recognition • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets: pivot tables, lookups, large-volume data • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop • Use AI daily and have built something with it independently • Ability to evaluate AI limitations, validate outputs against source data, and protect company financial data by avoiding unapproved tools • Willingness to keep up with newly released AI tools • Coachable and receptive to direct feedback • Direct communication and willingness to flag discrepancies early • Strong attention to accuracy and judgment • Remote in Argentina
