• Delivery and Flow Management: Support the product lead during the solution and technical feasibility phase for features, bugs and tasks by refining them in detail for handoff to the team. • Impediment Management: Proactively identify and act on blockers or roadblocks affecting the team (business questions or technical blocks). • Deadline Monitoring: Track the technical progress of team members to provide direction and take preventive action if there is a risk of delay. • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define solutions in partnership with other senior engineers and make final decisions on the architecture to be implemented. • Standards Guardian: Ensure the team follows the company's coding, testing, and documentation guidelines. • Code Review: Act as the final quality gate for critical or architectural PRs. • Documentation Culture: Create and keep technical documentation up to date (ADRs - Architecture Decision Records, RFCs, architecture diagrams, API docs/Swagger). • Knowledge Decentralization: Implement and guide troubleshooting processes (runbooks) so any team member can resolve known incidents. • Legacy Documentation: Map and document critical flows of legacy systems as you interact with them. • Mentor and develop Mid and Junior developers (pair programming, tech talks). • Interface with Product and Business — Technical Feasibility: Analyze requests together with product colleagues, assess feasibility, propose alternatives (MVPs) and negotiate deadlines with management. • Technical Debt Negotiation: Act as guardian of product health alongside the performance team, exposing and prioritizing technical debt that needs to be addressed.
• Mastery of Modern Ecosystems: Advanced proficiency in React or AngularJS for front-end and Java, Kotlin, Gradle, Jersey, Datastore, Cloud SQL for backend and architecture, with deep understanding of lifecycle, hooks and complex state management (Redux, React Query). • Solid Fundamentals: Expertise in TypeScript, ES6+, CSS-in-JS (Styled Components, Tailwind) and semantic HTML. • Performance and Optimization: Knowledge of caching strategies, event queuing and large-scale data processing. • Assertive Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to align expectations and negotiate deadlines with different areas (technical and business). • Product Mindset: Translate business requirements into technical requirements — not just execute tasks but understand the problem being solved and the objective. • Organization: Strong ability to organize, plan and manage tasks and projects. • Conflict Resolution: There are frequent incidents and coordination during development; ability to mediate these situations is required. • Systems Thinking: Ability to understand how services integrate to avoid architectural bottlenecks. • Initiative and Proactivity: Processes are being created — the role requires contributing to identify technical debt, improvements and suggestions.
