📋 Description

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts. • Achieve and exceed sales targets for municipal and utility products, including Residential, Commercial, AMR, and AMI solutions. • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through frequent, targeted visits and relationship-building. • Secure multi-million-dollar contracts by presenting compelling solutions and negotiating terms within authorized limits. • Partner with alliance partners and manage authorized distributors to maximize coverage and growth. • Provide customers with updates on product innovations and industry trends; represent Badger Meter at regional trade shows and national conventions. • Deliver accurate territory reports, competitive intelligence, and market insights using CRM tools to inform strategy and decision-making.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. • 3+ years in account management, preferably selling to utilities or government agencies. • Advanced negotiation skills for high-value contracts. • Strong problem-solving ability to deliver customer-focused solutions. • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills. • Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strategic thinker with a hunter mentality—driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
