📋 Description

• Identify and secure state and federal funding opportunities (e.g., Medicaid, appropriations, Rural Health Transformation, Opioid Settlement funds) to support market expansion • Track, interpret, and influence state legislation, rulemaking, and regulatory activity impacting Bamboo’s solutions • Build and maintain relationships with state Medicaid agencies, HHS leadership, legislators, and key policymakers to drive adoption and support of Bamboo’s solutions • Develop and execute state-specific market access strategies, including navigating procurement processes, budget cycles, and funding pathways • Partner cross-functionally with Product and Commercial teams to align solutions with policy trends, Medicaid priorities, regulatory requirements, and emerging considerations related to data, analytics, and AI in healthcare • Engage with industry associations and advocacy groups to shape policy, strengthen partnerships, and expand Bamboo’s presence • Support and advance procurement opportunities, including contributing to RFP responses and identifying pathways for sole source awards • Collaborate with external partners, including contract lobbyists and strategic partners, to advance Bamboo’s policy and market objectives

🎯 Requirements

• B.A. required, M.P.H or M.B.A preferred • 10+ years of experience in health policy and legislative relations ideally with a focus on health IT, Medicaid, and behavioral health • Experience working in both the public sector and the digital health space preferred • Comfort and experience working with a variety of external colleagues, including public and elected officials • Proven experience with working in matrixed organizations effectively • Strong oral and written presentation skills • A proactive can-do attitude, along with a strong capacity for empathy, emotional intelligence, and an inherent sense of curiosity • Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows • A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions • The ability to travel frequently for work
