📋 Description

• Develop initial concept designs for commercial and industrial buildings based on client briefs, sales requirements, and project objectives • Research and apply planning requirements, Australian building codes, and early-stage design constraints • Develop commercially viable design solutions balancing client expectations, compliance, functionality, and cost • Prepare concept layouts, design options, concept drawings, and client presentation drawings • Produce Revit-based site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and roof layouts • Prepare proposal documentation supporting preliminary estimating, budgeting, and contract proposals • Refine designs based on client feedback and internal review • Research planning schemes, zoning requirements, development controls, and site limitations • Apply National Construction Code requirements and relevant Australian Standards • Assist with authority liaison and Development Approval documentation • Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, and external consultants • Develop approved concepts through planning approval and Development Application stages • Provide design handover to the documentation team for Building Permit and construction documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in concept design, architectural drafting, or building design for commercial and/or industrial projects • Australian project experience highly preferred • Proficient in Autodesk Revit for concept modelling and early-stage design • Strong understanding of planning requirements, site constraints, building codes, and design compliance • Experience preparing concept drawings, client presentation drawings, and proposal documentation • Exposure to Australian planning requirements, NCC, and Australian Standards is an advantage • Previous experience with Development Approval drawings and construction documentation is desirable but not essential • Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
