📋 Description

• Own the backend behind the product, including API design, data modeling, query performance, and long-term architectural decisions • Operate queues, background jobs, scheduled tasks, and retry and error-handling behavior • Own AI pipelines, including versioned prompts, evaluation, and cost and latency budgets • Ensure robust behavior when model providers experience outages or failures • Build reporting and analytics pipelines for reliable, cross-location data • Integrate Bounti with POS, workforce scheduling, and payroll systems • Develop a shared integration layer instead of individual ad hoc connectors • Implement idempotency, reconciliation, customer-specific alerting, and drift detection • Own technical partner relationships, including sandbox access, certification programs, and API reviews • Develop internal tooling for the Customer Success team to diagnose failed syncs and activate integrations • Work closely with the VP of Engineering, VP of Customer Success, and Product Engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Have built and operated production backend systems • Experience with partial failure and eventual consistency • Experience with retries, idempotency, and reconciliation • Experience with third-party/vendor APIs • Experience with agents and responsibility for their output • Ability to distinguish high-quality output from output that merely appears plausible • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Prisma, and Kubernetes is a plus • Experience operating LLM features in production, including evaluation and cost control, is a plus • Experience building observability for systems that are not fully under your control is a plus • Experience taking a partner certification or app review process from start to finish is a plus • Experience in hospitality, retail, or workforce tooling is a plus • German language skills
