• Provide legal counsel on corporate matters and assist clients with various legal issues. • Collaborate with the Outside GC team to deliver exceptional legal services. • Draft and negotiate AI-related contracts and provide guidance on AI governance frameworks. • Engage with clients to build strong relationships and understand their legal needs. • Keep up to date with technology transactions and data privacy standards. • Work in a flexible, remote environment as part of a dedicated team.
• At least 10+ years of corporate legal practice, including experience as an in-house attorney, serving as a General Counsel and/or in another senior in-house legal role and 3+ years of law firm training • Substantive legal experience as a broad corporate generalist • Demonstrated success as a practical, business-focused, and responsive legal partner • J.D. from a nationally accredited law school • State bar membership in state where reside/practice • Deep technology transactions experience (SaaS, cloud, software licensing, vendor/procurement deals); international experience helpful but not required • Strong practical AI literacy with foundation models, RAG, agents, training, fine-tuning, outputs, and feedback loops • Experience drafting and negotiating AI-related contract provisions such as data use, training rights, outputs, IP, confidentiality • Ability to advise on AI governance frameworks such as policies, intake workflows, risk tiering, vendor review • Background in enterprise software, AI/ML, cloud, data platforms, or digital media • A technical background (engineering, computer science, or equivalent exposure) • Privacy certification (e.g., CIPP) • Experience advising on data privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance in tech transactions • Semiconductor/chip/AI infrastructure experience (GPUs, hardware-software integration, supply chain, OEM deals) preferred but not required.
