📋 Description

• Own the financial operating cycle end to end • Ensure monthly books close on time, with all documentation entered by the 5th of each month • Chase receipts and invoices, correct miscodings, and maintain close deadlines • Convert monthly Stripe settlement data into per-country VAT treatment • Create sales invoices for property-manager partners • Determine customer residency for tax purposes • Coordinate Estonia TSD, KMD and VD filings, Commercial Register matters, Spain VAT registration and quarterly returns, and EU OSS through external providers • Manage near-term UK VAT registration and Estonian TOMS registration projects • Run annual audit document requests, management representations, related-party schedules and annual report filing • Manage collections of commissions, deposits and partner receivables • Administer payroll and contractors through Deel alongside the People lead • Monitor cash across two banks, manage deposit rollovers, and schedule funding transfers • Operate and quality-check automated finance outputs and help specify future automation with the CTO • Work alongside outsourced accounting, tax advisers and lawyers

🎯 Requirements

• Roughly 7-10 years in finance operations, financial control or a similar role • Experience in a company small enough to design finance processes rather than inherit them • Direct experience owning a monthly close against a hard deadline • Real exposure to Stripe or comparable payment infrastructure and cross-border payments • Familiarity with reconciling a payment processor to a ledger • EU VAT experience in more than one jurisdiction • Estonian statutory experience is strongly weighted • Comfort operating and sanity-checking AI-generated finance outputs • Fluent written English • Estonian language is nice to have • Experience with SmartAccounts, Envoice, Deel, Carta or Revolut Business is nice to have • Travel, hospitality or marketplace background is nice to have • Experience with an outsourced accounting provider is nice to have
