📋 Description

• Take on lower-priority engineering work, including compliance, engineering maintenance, cost-savings, observability, experiment clean-up, and operational tooling • Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable software systems • Contribute to system architecture and technical design • Validate solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate • Participate in code and design reviews • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers • Clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work • Focus on coding, testing, and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional, backend-focused software development experience • Experience with Java and/or Kotlin • MongoDB Atlas or similar modern NoSQL database experience • Aurora MySQL on AWS or similar relational database experience • Experience with cloud-native distributed systems on AWS • Experience with Spring Boot • GraphQL API development (Netflix DGS) • Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, resilient systems • Strong English communication and collaboration skills • Event-driven system development with Kafka and/or SQS (nice to have) • AI-assisted coding experience (nice to have) • Terraform (nice to have) • Microservices (nice to have) • gRPC and REST API development (nice to have)
