📋 Description

• Run cplace Cloud 1.0 reliably and securely for customers • Shape the architecture and operating model of the Kubernetes-based cplace Cloud 2.0 • Co-build the Kubernetes platform, including cluster design, networking, storage, tenant isolation and scaling • Plan and drive migration of customer environments from Cloud 1.0 • Develop reusable Terraform modules, GitOps repositories and platform software such as self-service portals, APIs and automation • Conduct code reviews, automated tests and policy as code • Operate and improve Linux servers, containers, SQL databases and Elasticsearch • Resolve bugs, findings and capacity issues through incident and problem management and post-mortems • Convert manual procedures into versioned, tested code using Ansible, Terraform and n8n • Improve monitoring, logging and alerting • Own backup and recovery, disaster recovery and business continuity, including regular testing • Implement security and compliance requirements such as SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR • Optimize cost and capacity • Drive AI in operations, including incident and log analysis and agents for runbooks and routine tasks • Collaborate with product development for smooth releases • Represent the team technically in customer meetings, tenders and customer projects • Share knowledge through internal and external documentation and mentoring • Participate in on-call duty in a fair rotation

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or comparable vocational training • Several years, ideally 5+ years, of experience as an SRE, DevOps or platform engineer in business-critical production environments • Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, including operations, upgrades, troubleshooting, storage and networking • Experience with at least one cloud provider; AWS, GCP, Azure and/or Hetzner Cloud are a strong plus • Deep experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform and Ansible • Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and Git-based collaboration via pull requests and code reviews • Experience writing modular, tested and maintainable code • Strong Linux skills • Experience with SQL databases such as MariaDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana and Loki/ELK • Solid software engineering skills, ideally in Go or Python • Confident Bash scripting • Good understanding of cloud security, including network segmentation, secrets management and WAF • Hands-on experience with AI tools in everyday engineering and a good sense of their strengths and limits • Customer-focused, structured way of working and ability to explain technical topics clearly • Fluent German at least C1 and English
