Chainguard is a company that specializes in building secure container images to enhance software security and compliance. Their products include low-to-zero CVE container images, which are updated daily to maintain security and compliance standards such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, SOC2, and CIS benchmarks. Chainguard focuses on reducing vulnerabilities, automating compliance, and supporting development workflows without compromising on innovation and productivity. The company serves a wide range of industries, including highly regulated sectors, by providing hardened image solutions to mitigate software supply chain risks and enhance application security.

📋 Description

• Drive the strategy, roadmap and—most importantly—ship great products that streamline how developers adopt and build on the Chainguard platform. • Build a developer-first platform that supports integrations and partner growth. • Lead projects from ideation through launch and beyond, iteratively unlocking new customers and improving the product while overseeing maintenance and support. • Gather and respond to quantitative and qualitative data and feedback, measuring the effectiveness of your team’s efforts and changing direction when required. • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Partnerships, Product Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring that our product can be easily adopted by developers and security practitioners alike. Navigate cross-functional environments with clarity and influence. • Represent Chainguard externally wherever needed, including meetings with customers and prospects, partners, and industry analysts.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience recruiting, leading, and growing teams of Product Managers. You should be able to attract and retain exceptional talent. Teams are measured by the sum of their output, and you will need help to achieve your goals. • Technical depth is a must, as you’ll need to quickly establish credibility with developers and speak their language. Either prior experience as a developer, or proven success working in systems, networks, or an adjacent highly technical area. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record engaging deeply with customers and owning outcomes with hands-on execution and delivery. • Ability to take ownership and move quickly, even in ambiguity. • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and focus on what matters most.

🏖️ Benefits

• Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with team meetup opportunities, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone and internet costs. • Our Approach to Equity: Receive stock options upon hire and promotion. Plus, you can participate in secondary offerings and have 10 years to exercise your options (yes, you read that correctly: 10 years!). • 100% Covered Health Insurance: We cover 100% of your health, vision and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents. Nothing comes out of your paycheck. • ∞ Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need – to do our best work, we need to recharge and reset. • 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: We offer 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with the option to use it all at once or throughout your child's first year.
