📋 Description

• Design and implement patterns for legacy displacement and move domains out of the monolith with zero downtime • Own the architectural vision, patterns, standards, and trade-offs for legacy displacement across the domain • Define technical direction for modernization from Go toward Java/Kotlin/Spring • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers • Raise engineering quality through design reviews • Build new services and transition existing systems from Go to Spring • Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and roadmap • Balance technical debt with new product value • Communicate through written documentation and asynchronous collaboration across timezones • Use Grafana and modern tracing to monitor system health and reliability • Leverage agentic programming tools such as Claude Code to accelerate refactoring and development

🎯 Requirements

• Significant backend engineering experience, typically 10+ years • Deep experience in backend systems and performance-sensitive, production-critical systems • Comfortable switching between programming languages • Practical React expertise highly welcomed • Experience with event-driven systems • Proven track record of breaking down monoliths and managing system migrations • Robust Unit, Integration, and E2E testing experience • Product mindset and ability to understand business impact • Experience with observability and system performance monitoring • Ability to collaborate effectively across timezones • Mentoring and knowledge-sharing skills
